2014 Grenache

Made using 100% whole cluster, this wine is tremendously complex and nuanced with stunning aromatics of red berries and spice, potpourri, hints of earl grey tea, and an underlying vein of peppercorn and pine. On the palate the wine shows the subtle characteristics of stem inclusion through its tannin and structure alongside ripe fruit and baking spice. Aged for 16 months in 100% French oak, large format 400L puncheons, of which 20% are new.
Technical Information
Soil Type: Linne Clay Loam - this whitish gray soil contains limestone pieces beginning 18”-24” below the surface. The presence of limestone captures and preserves the freshness in this wine, and being a heavier soil lends itself to a rounder mouthfeel.
